Rares Manolescu

Senior Consultant, Speaker, Trainer

Rares Manolescu is a Consulting Associate and Coach for The Ken Blanchard Companies® who combines making things simple and practical, sharing individual experiences, and using a systemic coaching approach that’s focused on results and deep exploration to create an engaging and insightful experience. He has been working extensively with both Western and Eastern cultures and understands the fine lines and different mindsets of many nationalities. Rares is equally successful with executive teams and senior and middle management groups due to his management experience, team coaching background, and relentless focus on studying and understanding human behavior and motivation at individual and team/organizational levels.

Rares has been facilitating programs internationally since 1996 and coaching teams and leaders since 2006 on five continents and in more than 35 countries. His expertise is in motivation, leadership, executive and team coaching, leading change, and team performance. He has authored more than 25 articles on leadership and human motivation and wrote the foreword for Susan Fowler’s book Why Motivating People Doesn’t Work…and What Does (Romanian edition).

He owns two consulting companies and currently develops the systemic coaching practice in the Middle East. Rares is co-founding partner of Mojo Moments (United States), focused on global growth. Previous professional roles include Senior Manager for Blanchard International Romania (2005–16) and client service manager for Codecs Open University in Romania (2002–3). He received Romania’s Trainer of the Year award in 2007 and was nominated for Trainer of the Year and Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

Rares has a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and holds a Professional Certificate in Management from Open University, United Kingdom. He is certified as a Master Trainer to deliver all Blanchard core programs and holds certifications from Human Synergistics International, Demartini Institute, and Wiley International. Rares’ native language is Romanian, he can comfortably facilitate in English, and he speaks French and Italian at the conversational level.

He enjoys spending his leisure time with his family; kitesurfing and cycling; reading about and researching human behavior, neuroscience, and technology; and drawing.
